As Christmas rapidly approaches and the end of the year draws closer, we’d like to take this moment to wish all our guests a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
2018 has been another busy year at the hotel, and we’ve enjoyed seeing many familiar and new faces. Having started the year with two dumpings of snow, we were blessed with fantastic sunshine over the summer months much to the delight of our guests. We’re now hoping for a mild winter although we have to admit, snow on the beach is a spectacular sight!
During the year we’ve welcomed some new staff members into the team including our new head chef, Saul Vickery. We think you’ll agree they’ve slotted right into the Royal York & Faulkner ethos with their friendly and professional service.
Other highlights of the year include winning a Gold Award and Winners Cup in the 2018 Sidmouth in Bloom awards, a visit from Owls R Us, and hosting a week of music events during Sidmouth Folk Week.
We love Christmas at the hotel and are looking forward to entertaining a full house over the festive season. When our last guest leaves us on 2nd January, we’ll be temporarily closing our doors for our annual refurbishment and maintenance programme.
Our staff will enjoy a well-earned break, and we’ll be ready for guests on Friday 8th February 2019. Don’t worry if you’d like to make a booking enquiry during our closure. We’ll still be manning the phones, or you can book online.
