A new Head Chef for the Royal York & Faulkner Hotel

After 17 years of dedicated service, we are saying farewell to our talented Head Chef, Mark Leavers, who is retiring from the Royal York & Faulkner Hotel. Mark joined us in 2001 and with his calm and professional manner has successfully managed the hotel kitchen and team over the past 17 years, delighting our guests with his excellent cuisine.

While we will miss his humour and singing, we wish him every happiness in his retirement and thank him for his hard work and dedication during his time here.

Mark is now handing over the baton to Saul Vicary who recently joined us to head up the kitchen team and be our new Head Chef.

Saul has gained experience at two four-star hotels in Sidmouth and has also run his own restaurant for many years. Over the past few months, he has been working alongside Mark to ensure a smooth transition, and we look forward to him taking the reins.

With Saul’s experience and enthusiasm, our guests can rest assured that they will continue to enjoy the same high standard of classic and modern cuisine that they expect from our hotel kitchen.
