The safety of our guests is of the utmost importance and we are implementing all the necessary control measures to keep you safe. Rest assured that if your booking plans have to change there will be no penalty.
In the interest of guest and staff safety and in line with government guidance, please see below the changes we will be implementing during your stay.
Firstly, if you are experiencing any symptoms of Coronavirus such as, a high temperature, a new and persistent cough or loss of taste and smell, we respectfully ask that you remain at home to self-isolate and call us to re-arrange your stay.

Arrival & Departure
We have made changes to our check-in and check-out times to facilitate the thorough cleaning and sanitisation of your room before arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 10.00 am on the morning of your departure and check-in on arrival is from 3.00 pm. If, however, your room is vacant the evening prior to your stay an early arrival may be possible. We will call you several days before your stay to advise and also collect pre-arrival information to expedite the check-in process.
We ask please that you call us 10 minutes or so before your arrival at the hotel so that we can arrange for a member of our staff to meet you at the front entrance.
Hand sanitiser is provided at all entrances to the hotel as well as in strategic locations throughout, such as outside lifts and at the entrance to the restaurant. Please use this before entering these areas. Reception, from beyond a Perspex screen, can arrange to have your luggage delivered to outside your guest bedroom and will direct you to your room. You may use the hotel lifts if necessary, during the stay but to ensure social distancing, only with members of your family group.
The hotel ground floor is extensive and benefits from four beautiful lounges in which to read, relax or chat. Please, however, be courteous and considerate to other guests when using the hotel public areas and ensure that social distancing is maintained throughout.
The spacious restaurant will be set out with plenty of space between tables. If guest numbers exceed the safe distancing limits, it may be necessary to give you an allotted time for your reservation at dinner or breakfast but we will notify you in advance if this is necessary.
Your guest bedroom will be thoroughly cleaned, sanitised and sealed before your arrival. Some items such as magazines have been removed from the room. The room information folder is plastic coated and will be wiped clean, however, should you require any information please do not hesitate to call Reception.
Our housekeeping team will be paying particular attention to the regular cleaning of touch points throughout the hotel such as door handles, banisters, lifts and surfaces. There will also be regular checks and cleaning of the public bathrooms. We respectfully ask, however, that guests, where possible, use their own ensuite facilities.
If you would like your guest bedroom cleaned and serviced each day, please note that it will be necessary for you to vacate your room whilst the housekeeping staff attend. Should you prefer them not to enter your room during your stay please advise reception who can arrange for delivery of fresh towels, toiletries and hospitality items.
In line with government guidance, the hotel spa remains closed at this time.
This popular venue is open throughout the day for coffee, drinks and lunches which are served from 12 noon – 4.00 pm. Please note that reservations must be made in advance for lunch.
At this time, live entertainment is not permitted but guests can enjoy our self-playing piano in the bar after dinner!
The hotel car park is arranged in bays and guests are requested to leave their car keys with reception. If it is necessary for our valet staff to move your car during your stay, rest assured that they will wear gloves and sanitise your car key before returning it to reception.
Your room bill will be slipped under your bedroom door on the morning of your departure. If you prefer you may telephone reception with your credit or debit card details to make payment.
Our staff have all received comprehensive training on how to prevent the transmission of Covid-19. This includes meticulous levels of personal hygiene and hand-washing, heightened cleaning and sanitation throughout the hotel and adherence to social distancing guidelines wherever possible. Staff members are not permitted to work if they have any symptoms common with Coronavirus nor if they live-in with somebody who has symptoms.
Please note that the hotel remains closed to non-residents.
