We are pleased to offer a new bespoke wine list at the Royal York & Faulkner Hotel. We have always prided ourselves on giving our guests a highly enjoyable dining experience. Our friendly team of waiting staff offer silver service at your table. And our Head Chef, Saul Vicary, has created a four-course table d’hote menu combining the best of classic and modern cuisine. To complement these, we are pleased to announce that, having worked closely with a local independent wine merchant, Sovereign Wines, we are now able to offer a carefully chosen selection of wines from around the world.
Your journey across the globe begins with a European selection of sparkling wines and champagne. Most notably a Billecart-Salmon, Brut Reserve from Champagne. Light and elegant; citrus and apple on the nose. Next we have a choice of seven white wines including an organic Pinot Grigio; each carefully chosen for its flavour and style. The new menu also includes two aromatic rosé wines with one being an organic variety.
Our red wine list is definitely a global affair featuring wines from eight countries. From a Chilean Rio del Mar Merlot to a Romanian Paparuda Pinot Noir. A Gouguenheim Reserve Malbec from Argentina to a South African Pinotage. We have a beverage for every palate.
To help our guests with their choice, Sovereign Wines has created a detailed wine list giving a little history of each vineyard. We are sure you will enjoy this new menu.
During a stay at the hotel, pop into Blinis, our café wine-bar next door. Here you will find a wonderful selection of wines chosen by Sovereign on the Drinks List.
