New video now live on the Royal York & Faulkner Hotel website
Take a look at our new video, which is now live on the Royal York & Faulkner Hotel website. Filmed back in the Summer, we have tried to capture the hotel and Sidmouth at its best, in glorious sunshine. We even managed to include a fly past from the visiting Red Arrows! We hope the video will give guests, past and present, a flavour of what we have to offer. Hopefully, it will bring back fond memories of holidays in Sidmouth. A picture can speak a thousand words.
Annual refurbishment and maintenance
At the moment, the hotel is closed for its annual refurbishment and maintenance programme. With the age of the Regency building, there are always jobs to do and each room is checked carefully for any maintenance that is needed. We will be opening our doors once again in Feburary, when everyone at the Royal York and Faulkner will be ready to welcome guests for the new year. During the closure, Reception will be open between 8am and 5pm to receive enquiries and reservations.
As the festive celebrations end for another year and thoughts turn to holidays in the new year, why not plan a short break at the hotel in the next couple of months. Winter is a wonderful time here in Sidmouth and perfect for short strolls along the beach or Esplanade before heading back to the hotel or our café-bar, Blinis, for a hot chocolate!
Blinis Café Bar opening in January
For the first time ever, Blinis Café Bar, adjacent to the hotel, will be opening throughout January! In the past, Blinis has closed whilst the hotel is undergoing its annual refurbishment and maintenance programme, but, this year we have decided to open at this time. We hope Blinis regular customers will pleased! So, if you are venturing into the town for shopping in the Sales, pop in for coffee, cake, brunch or lunch. You won’t be disappointed!
