It’s that time of year again when Sidmouth Sea Fest brings together locals and visitors alike to celebrate “everything in, on and from the sea!” As a sponsor of the event, we are delighted that, once again, the hardworking Sea Fest team have organised a fantastic celebration of our coastal community and its hugely important connection to the sea.
Just a short walk along the Esplanade from the hotel, Sea Fest 2019 will take place on Saturday 18 May. The fun starts at 10am on the Ham and continues throughout the day until 11pm. This year’s programme includes:
3.30 – 4.00pm – ‘Fish out of water’ – a play especially written for Sea Fest about the life of writer, Stephen Reynolds. Originally from Wiltshire, Stephen lived with and wrote about the Woolleys, a Sidmouth fishing family. His book ‘A Poor Man’s House’ was published in 1908.
