With only nine days to go until the start of Sidmouth Folk Week 2018, we’re excited to share the hotel’s programme of music events.
Throughout the week we’ll be hosting daily music sessions in our Faulkner Bar. As has become a tradition, we’ll also be welcoming the “Gloom, doom and despondency” competition to the hotel. This is a song contest where attendees are expected to maintain a solemn aspect (e.g. dark clothes, long face, and soft, respectful speech). If someone breaches decorum (e.g. laughs), the offender is evicted for the duration of the current song, and the singer receives bonus points.

All our events are open to all and free to attend.
