Ottery St Mary Silver Band Concerts
25th May – 24th August
Fortnightly free open air concerts performed in Sidmouth’s Connaught Gardens by Ottery St Mary Silver Band. Every other Thursday throughout the summer at 7.45pm.
Sidmouth Town Band Concerts
28th May – 3rd September
Weekly free open air concerts performed in Sidmouth’s Connaught Gardens by Sidmouth Town Band. Every Sunday throughout the summer at 8pm.
Summer Play Season
22nd June – 22nd September
The last standing weekly professional summer repertory season in the UK. 12 plays performed across 12 weeks at Sidmouth’s Manor Pavilion Theatre.
Sidmouth Literary Festival
23rd – 25th June
A three-day book festival for writers and readers. This year’s speakers include Adele Parks, Anne Sebba, Bryony Gordon, Noel Smith and Sophie Hannah.
Secluded Gardens of Sidmouth
29th June – 3rd July
Open gardens organised by Sidmouth in Bloom.
Great Duck Derby
9th July
An annual charity duck race organised by the Sidmouth Lions. Hundreds of yellow plastic ducks are launched into the River Sid from the Sid Park Road bridge and race downstream to reach the ‘finishing line’ at the weir by Waterloo Bridge, Salcombe Road.
Sidmouth Folk Week
4th – 11th August
An annual week-long seaside celebration of folk music, dance and song.
Last Night of the Proms
19th August
Performed by Sidmouth Town Band in Sidmouth’s Connaught Gardens.
Sidmouth Regatta
26th – 27th August
An annual event organised by Sidmouth Sailing Club. Two days of activities include sailing races, traditional sea-based activities, family events, live music and a spectacular firework display.
The RAF Red Arrows will be opening the event with a display
