Christmas at the Royal York & Faulkner Hotel is a traditional affair, with the Hook family having celebrated almost 80 Christmas’ here in Sidmouth.
Like most families, the hotel has its age-old Christmas traditions. One of which is Frederick Hook’s famous Christmas pudding recipe which we still serve to our guests each year.
Guests staying at the Royal York & Faulkner Hotel over the festive period are served the pudding as a part of the delicious gala Christmas Day lunch .
Our Christmas pudding recipe is just one of the traditional touches that makes the Royal York & Faulkner Hotel a wonderful place to spend your Christmas. There is a welcome drinks reception where you can meet your hosts, the Hook family, as well as traditional festive entertainment including hand-bell ringers and carols by the town band.
