With breathtaking sea views, beautiful beaches, scenic walks, and charming little shops, Sidmouth is quickly gaining a reputation for its vibrant festivals held throughout the year. The year 2025 promises to be no different, showcasing an exciting array of events for both locals and visitors to enjoy.
Early Spring
In early spring, the Valley of a Million Bulbs is a cherished annual event where the entire community unites to plant one million daffodil bulbs across the town. This initiative began in 2007 when businessman Keith Owen, following a terminal illness diagnosis, entrusted his life savings of £2 million to the Sid Vale Association. This led to the creation of The Keith Owen Fund, aimed at supporting local projects through volunteer efforts. Each year, Sidmouth is transformed by a stunning golden blanket of daffodils, brightening the town and bringing joy to residents and visitors alike.
Sidmouth Jazz Festival
Building on the success of Sidmouth’s inaugural International Jazz & Blues Festival in 2022, preparations are underway for its return in 2025. The next festival is scheduled for Thursday, May 22, through Monday, May 26, coinciding with the end of the May bank holiday.
