Sidmouth

This picturesque & charming resort, located on the world Heritage 'Jurassic Coast' nestles between majestic red cliffs. Golf

Whether a scratch player or beginner, the area offers a wide choice of 18 and 9 hole golf courses to suit all abilities.

Hotel guests are entitled to reduced green fees at Sidmouth Golf Club. The course enjoys wonderful sea views from its undulating fairways, and there are beautiful scenes to be savoured throughout the 18 holes. Almost unique amongst courses on this stretch of coast, they are enjoyed from a position usually sheltered from strong winds, and offer the perfect challenge for the golfing novice as well as the more accomplished golfer.

Tennis

Guests of the hotel may play at the nearby Tennis Club, offering grass and hard courts.

Cricket

Cricket can be enjoyed throughout July and August on what must surely be one of the most beautiful grounds in England, just yards from the hotel. Complimentary season tickets are available, entitling guests to deck-chair use and entry to the picturesque thatched clubhouse.

Sidmouth has two first class bowling greens; grass and hard court tennis; putting green; croquet lawns.

Entertainment

A full summer season of live weekly repertory entertainment is staged at Sidmouth's Manor Pavilion theatre. There is also a newly refurbished cinema where you can enjoy the latest releases.

For music with a view, Sidmouth Town Band performs concerts on Sunday evenings throughout the summer. These concerts take place in Connaught Gardens at the western end of the Esplanade, surrounded by floral displays and overlooking the Bay.
